Coaching packages: 5 structures with example pricing
Selling single sessions ties your income to your calendar. A package ties it to a result. Here are five structures that work, what an example of each looks like in pounds, and the one mistake to avoid with each.
The session bundle
Best for: Coaches moving off single-session selling for the first time.
£540 for 6 sessions (£90 each, paid upfront)
- 6 × 60-minute sessions, used within 3 months
- One clear goal agreed in session 1
- Email check-ins between sessions
Watch out: Set an expiry window. Open-ended bundles stall, and stalled clients don't get results — or refer you.
The monthly retainer
Best for: Consultants and coaches with clients who need ongoing support.
£350/month, 3-month minimum
- 2 × 60-minute calls per month
- Async messaging support on working days
- One reviewed deliverable per month (plan, script, document)
Watch out: Cap the async support. "Unlimited WhatsApp" sounds generous until it eats your evenings.
The intensive (VIP day)
Best for: Experts whose clients want a result fast, not a long relationship.
£750 for one focused day
- Pre-work questionnaire sent 1 week before
- 1 × 5-hour working session (with breaks)
- Written action plan delivered within 48 hours
Watch out: Define the single outcome the day delivers. "We'll cover a lot" is not an offer — it's a hope.
The group programme
Best for: Coaches ready to help more people without more hours.
£295 per person, 6-week cohort, max 10 seats
- 6 × weekly 90-minute group calls
- Private community space for the cohort
- Templates and worksheets for each week
Watch out: Cap the seats and say so. A real limit is honest scarcity — and it protects the quality of the room.
The outcome-based package
Best for: Experienced providers who can name a specific, measurable result.
£1,800 fixed, for a defined outcome
- A named result (e.g. "your offer, sales page and price, done")
- Defined number of sessions and revisions to get there
- Clear list of what's not included
Watch out: Only promise outcomes you control. You can deliver a finished sales page; you can't promise someone's revenue.
How to pick yours
Three questions settle it: what result do your best clients actually come for, how quickly do they want it, and how much of your time does delivering it really take? Price the package around the result, not the hours — then write the scope tightly enough that both sides know exactly what's included.
Every example above is a starting point, not a rule. Your experience, your niche and your clients should move the number up or down.
